Refund & Cancellation

Browsing the directory and downloading any listed free software costs nothing, so there is nothing to pay and nothing to refund. The sections below apply only to our paid services.

Verified listings and annual plans are billed up front. You may cancel within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, provided the listing has not yet been published live. Once a listing is live, the plan is non-refundable for the remainder of the term, but you can turn off auto-renewal at any time — your listing then stays active until the paid term ends.

Leads are sold per enquiry and are consumed on delivery, so they are generally non-refundable once released. We do, however, credit your wallet for a clearly invalid lead. Raise a claim within 48 hours of delivery if the lead is a fake/non-existent contact, unreachable across repeated attempts, a duplicate of one you already received, or materially mismatched to the category you bought. Approved claims are refunded as wallet credit. We do not refund a genuine lead that simply did not convert.

Paid promotions can be cancelled before the campaign goes live for a full refund. Once live, we refund the unserved portion pro-rata if we are at fault (for example, the placement did not run). Spend already delivered is non-refundable.

Email support@freesoftwarex.com from the address on your order, or use our Contact page, with your order/payment reference and the reason. For lead claims include the lead ID and what was wrong. We acknowledge every request within 2 business days.

Approved monetary refunds go back to the original payment method via our payment partners (Razorpay / Cashfree) and typically reach your account within 5–7 business days of approval, depending on your bank. Lead-claim refunds are issued as wallet credit. We never ask for card or banking details over email or chat to process a refund.

If a charge looks wrong, please contact us first — we resolve almost everything quickly. Raising a bank chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of the associated listing or wallet while the dispute is investigated.
